First let me say, "Google is your friend." Typing "invulnerable" into Google search spits back:
"in·vul·ner·a·ble
adjective: impossible to harm or damage.
synonyms:
impervious, insusceptible, immune."
Doing the same thing with "wound" gives you:
wound
wo?ond/
noun
an injury to living tissue caused by a cut, blow, or other impact, typically one in which the skin is cut or broken.
synonyms: injury, lesion, cut, gash, laceration, tear, slash
So, if you are invulnerable, you cannot be wounded. However, since true invulnerability does not exist, the word invulnerable is often used to mean "very hard to hurt." or "Immune to SOME TYPES of injury." For instance, people who cannot figure out how to use the Google search engine to find out the meaning of simple words, or who are too lazy to use a dictionary, are generally INVULNERABLE to sarcasm. That means you can be as sarcastic toward these people as you like, without having to worry that you have injured their feelings, because they will not be able to understand the implication of your statements.
